Virabhadrasana A (vira=hero)

From Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward dog)

• INHALE step right foot forward between the hands, bend the knee. Square the hips. Press back heel the outside of the foot into the floor. Lift your arms up, palms together, gaze to the thumbs (Mula Bandha).

• HOLD for 5-8 breaths.

• INHALE straighten the right leg, come up and turn to the other side.

• EXHALE bend left knee.

• INHALE raise your arms up and square your hips. Press back heel the outside of the foot into the floor.

• HOLD for 5-8 breaths.

⚫️ Modification : if you can’t keep your hips square pressing the back heel into the floor, lift the heel in the beginning so the hips are square.
