Sun Salutation

Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation) is best done early morning on an empty stomach. Ideally done facing the morning sun, helps the body to soak in it its benefits. The sun rays are a rich source of vitamin D and help to strenghten our bones. Also help to clear our vision power. One round of Sun Salutation consists of 12 yoga asanas and if done regularly can help you lose fat and combat diseases.

  1. Pranamasana
  2. Inhale> Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon)/ Hasto Uttanasana (Raised Arms)
  3. Exhale> Pādahastasana (Forward Bending)
  4. Inhale>Ashva Sanchalanasana (Right Foot back to Lunge > press heel of back foot)
  5. Exhale> Parvatasana
  6. Suspend> Guru Namaskara
  7. Inhale> Bhujangasana
  8. Exhale> Parvatasana
  9. Inhale>Ashva Sanchalanasana (Right Foot forward to Lunge)
  10. Exhale> Pādahastasana (Forward Bending)
  11. Inhale> Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon)/ Hasto Uttanasana (Raised Arms)
  12. Exhale>Pranamasana
